Trip to Alabama

All of us on the train.
Having ice cream on Sunday night.
Xavier always likes to look at the map when we are at the zoo.
Xavier and Micah hanging out in front of the outhouse.
I love this picture. It is Xavier sitting in the outhouse like he had to go. :)
Emily and Addison.
Our friend, Emily, and her son, Micah, were in Alabama visiting Emily's family last week. I had some time off from school, so I packed the kids up and we headed over to Birmingham to have a little visit. We haven't seen them since last year and Micah was only a couple months old then. Plus Emily needed to meet Addison. They live in Nebraska and who knows when we would get to see them again. We had a nice time and Xavier got to go to his 6th zoo while we were there. (he really likes zoos.)

Xavier and his Uncle Daniel.
My brother's band, The Chops, were in town the weekend of the 26th. They played at a bar called the Drunken Unicorn in Atlanta. It has been almost 2 years since I have seen my little brother, so I made sure we got to see him before they headed back to NC. We met up with him and had lunch. Addison was just tickled to have someone new to play with and of course Xavier wanted to tell him about everything and have him do all sorts of things with him. It was a really nice visit.

April 26th was Spring Fling at school. It is a PTO fund raiser and all the classrooms from each school have to perform or present something. Xavier's class sang She'll Be Coming round the Mountain and did a little dance. (a video will follow shortly) My class sang This Land is Your Land. We put ours together at the last minute since it was a new class I took over right after maternity leave. They did very well considering. And of course everyone was ooohhhing and aaaahhhhing over Addison.
