The Dynamic Duo, Poopers and Peepers

John has always called Xavier Peepers. I don't know how it got started, but it stuck. Now that we have Addison, John tried calling her Peepette, but it just isn't sticking. We tried to think of a nickname for her and we came up with Poopers. It is because she poops so many diapers. I am sure she will hate us for this name later, but it is so cute right now.
So, Xavier came up with a little game they could "play" together. Together they are superheros that chase down the bad guys. Addison will "poop" on them and Xavier "pees" on them. I know, I know, gross, but it makes him laugh and she grins from ear to ear when she gets to "play" with him. Besides, he's a boy, this is what they do and when she gets older she will probably want to play with dolls while he is making mud pies out back. So, I say let them have their fun now. :)

The many faces of Addie Lou, Take 2

This is another collection of pictures I took back to back of Addison smiling at me. This time she was in her crib looking up at me. These are just as cute too. She is really into smiling these days and has even tried a little laughing. Her favorite person to smile at is of course her brother, Xavier. She just loves him and they are super cute together.

She is still a little baby, weighing in just a tad over 8lbs, but is getting longer each day. She has to wear 0-3 months for the length, but can still get into some newborn onesies and dresses, just not the pants (unless we want to style them as capri's.)

We are having such a wonderful time with her and love her so much. While I am at work, she goes to a home daycare and right now is the only child there, so she gets lots of attention. She really likes the lady who watches her and has started smiling at her as well.

The many faces of Addie Lou

These are a collection of pictures I took back to back of Addison smiling at me. It was kinda hard to hold her and take pictures at the same time, but I think they are just too cute. Oh and BTW, her eyes look brown in all the photos, but she actually has blue eyes.

International Night, March 14, 2008

My friends and co-workers under the Tori gate in Japan, Tammy, Katie w/Addison, and Karol. (Karol is my assistant in my new classroom. Tammy is my old co-teacher.)

Hanging out in Chile with Ms. Roberta and Ms. Rosario. (Rosario is from Chile.)

Xavier with Ms. Jannis and Ms. Jouse in China.

Watching giant pandas in China.

Xavier in Trinidad. He danced in Trinidad. Apparently he could only dance in Trinidad.

Xavier in Brazil. (We lost John and Addison in Brazil and finally found them in Trinidad. Kinda creepy since I had just watched Turistas a few nights ago.)

Xavier getting his passport stamped in India.

Xavier visiting the Dunn's River Falls in Jamaica, while eating a fried plantain. (he didn't like it.)

Xavier on the beach in Jamaica with his friend Chaya. (Yes, he's on the beach with a girl. He is John's son after all. :)

John in Jamaica.

Daddy and Xavier in Mexico.

Xavier getting his passport stamped in Mexico.

People digging in to that yummy Japanese food. Yeah for sushi!

A table of trinkets, photos, and reports on Japan.

The other side of the garden. We left the trees up b/c they looked so nice.

The tranquil Japanese garden. My dad built the zen garden.

My school has an International night every year. Each class picks a country to represent and then decorates their classroom to look somewhat like that country as well as have food from that country. Then each child gets a passport with their picture and they get a special stamp in their passport as they travel from "country" to "country". I, of course, had a ball. I chose Japan for my country in my old classroom. In my new classroom they went with Trinidad since the teacher who was working there while I was on leave is from Trinidad. This was of course my first week back at work, so I was very busy. But in the end it came out so nice. Xavier's class did Mexico and they made ponchos for the kids to wear and you know my son, he didn't want to wear his until I said I wasn't going to carry it around all night. I have already decided on my country for next year, Monaco. It is going to be awesome. :)

Playing Dress-up

Mommy got this from Target for $2. She really likes putting me in it to sleep. Although it is too small for me now.

This is me at 2 weeks old in an outfit from Mommy's friend Alicia. It's one of the few newborn outfits I can still get into. It's very comfy and Mommy likes the ruffled sleeves on the end.

One of the very few dresses Mommy actually bought me. It was a deal at Target for $6. I wore it to church and a Valentine's Day party.

This is another outfit from Mommy's friend Alicia. Lots of people think I am super stylish in this one. the shirt says "Princess" and that's what I am.

This is actually a Ralph Lauren dress we are borrowing from Mommy's friend Katie.

Now she's dressing up me and my brother. Although I have to say we look good. :)

One of the greatest things about a new baby is all the cute clothes you get and buy. When Xavier was a baby, it was hard to find really cute and stylish outfits for boys, but I managed to find some here and there. So, of course I dressed him up as much as could. Now I have a baby girl and there are tons of clothes to dress her up in. Actually, I haven't really had to buy her anything thanks to hand me downs and good friends and family. So, here are a few pictures of Addison all dolled up in some of her fancy and stylish clothes, so far. Trust me, there will be more coming soon. :)
