The New World of Coca-Cola

John's brother-in-law, Mike, loves coke. So, we took him to the New World of Coca-Cola while they were down visiting. It was kinda cool. Lots of coca-cola memorabilia and a tasting area where you can taste different sodas from around the world. Xavier's favorite was a Kiwi-Strawberry from South Africa. It was super sweet. I had the siblings take a picture with the Coca-Cola Polar bear. Jeff wasn't very happy because the bear took his hat and then rubbed his semi-bald head. Xavier thought that was hilarious.

Stone Mountain

On December 26, we took John's family up to Stone Mountain for their Christmas event. It was a little chilly, but not too bad. We played some miniature golf, Xavier had a ball with that. Then we walked around and watched their Christmas parade. Xavier loved all the lights. We didn't stay for everything on the account that people were hungry and I was not feeling so well. Overall though we had a nice time.

Merry Christmas!

Christmas was great this year! We had John's family down for almost a week. Xavier was thrilled with all the gifts he got and wants to tell everyone about them. His Aunt Sheila and Uncle Mike spoiled him more throughout the week with some movies and ice cream. I don't know if he will survive without them. :)

Uncle Jeff is visiting

John's brother Jeff is down visiting and helping us do some things around the house. Xavier has him playing duplos and trains whenever he can. He will be here until after Christmas and John's sister and her husband will be joining us on the 23rd. It will be nice to have some company this Christmas. Plus I finally get to use my cool Christmas dishes I got for my birthday a few years ago. I can't wait.

Other than that, there really isn't much news here. Xavier and I both caught colds this past week and have been pretty miserable. I am getting to the point where I wish the baby would be here already, but I know it's still too early. I have 1 more week of work before the winter break. It will be nice to have company and the time off from work. I go back on January 3rd and if all goes well, I will be working up until January 11th. Addison is due on the 19th. I will post again when I have something interesting to write. Merry Christmas everyone!

Decorating the tree

John bought me a Christmas tree this year and ornaments. I think he is finally coming around to this whole Christmas thing. Which of course makes me happy. Xavier and I had fun decorating the tree. We still have to put the angel on top. That is a job for Daddy. Xavier can't wait for the bottom to be filled with toys. He has gotten into the Christmas this year as well and figured out that he gets gifts. Everything he sees he wants. Of course we got him at least one big item on his list, but we are trying to be the kind of parents that don't overindulge on Christmas. So, he got one big item and a few little things. We are hoping this will help him appreciate what he gets and not the quantity of toys. We'll see how that goes in a few years.

Our Baby Girl

I had another ultrasound on November 28th. The baby is good and growing like normal. Although, I guess she has pretty long legs for a baby. That's what the technician said. We did find out that she is definitely a girl. This time it was pretty clear on the screen. Our scanner is still not cooperating, so I took a picture of the picture they gave us. It is a close-up of her face. She has her hands balled up in fists right beside her cheeks. Some people have said it looks like the cover for the Mummy movie. I have the picture hanging on our fridge. We love looking at her face everyday and can't wait till she's actually here for us to hold and kiss. Although I am sure after a few sleepless nights we will wish she was still incubating inside. :)

Christmas Pictures

I took Xavier to have his pictures taken yesterday. We had to wait forever and we had an appointment. Everybody and their grandmothers were getting Holiday pictures taken. Next year, I will make sure I do them back in October. It was a pretty good deal and I got a cd of all the pictures and enough wallets for our Christmas cards. Here's a sampling.

Xavier's boy baby

Ever since Xavier saw the baby on the ultrasound, he thinks that he has a boy baby growing inside of him. It is actually really cute and funny. He was really into the baby thing after getting to see real babies this weekend. Tonight I got out one of my old cabbage patch kids. It's one of the newborns and just happens to be a boy. We wrapped him up in a receiving blanket and gave him to Xavier to "take care" of. He was so cute and has named the baby Super Power Lightning McQueen Fast. Too cute!

Daytona Beach, FL 2007

We headed to Daytona Beach this weekend for our association meeting. John was asked to preach Sabbath morning. He did a really good job and even had visual aides, a chocolate chip cookie. It was hilarious.
I took Xavier out to the beach near our hotel. He had a great time playing in the sand and water. The weather was so nice and warm.

We got the chance to meet up with some old friends, John Mark and Cathy Camenga. They had triplets back in July. John and I got to play with one of them, Eve. She was always up when we were hanging out. The other 2, Cate and Jonah, like to sleep. :) I loved getting to hold her and even Xavier liked the babies. He was singing them songs and rubbing their arms. He wanted to hold Eve really bad, but I wasn't too sure about that. I didn't get the camera out, mainly b/c I was holding the baby. :)

Marineland

On the way down to Daytona Beach, we stopped in a little town called Marineland. They had an Oceanarium. It was right on the ocean and they had dolphins. We lucked out b/c the day we stopped, they were remodeling and had moved the dolphins to a smaller tank. Therefore they were letting people in for free. John loves that price!
We had a nice time getting to see some dolphins up close and walking along the beach.

Trunk or Treat

The church Xavier goes to for Awana's had a trunk or treat night. It's where people open there trunks and decorate them for children to trick or treat from. Xavier isn't a big fan of costumes and it is really hard trying to get him to wear one. He wanted to be Thomas the tank engine and the costume is very simple. He looked so cute and had a great time.

Children's Museum of Atlanta

Xavier was invited to a birthday party at the Children's Museum of Atlanta. He had a really nice time, although it was hard to get him away from the train tables.
