Doggie Birthday

My friend, Melanie, held a birthday party for her dog, Huey. He is 2 years old and a miniature dachshund. ( I love dachshunds!) I took Xavier and Addison and we had a very nice time. Huey was a sweet puppy and I wanted to take him home with me very much. But, I did let Mel know that we would dog sit anytime.

Elmo Walker

John's old boss gave us an Elmo walker and Addison is finally the right size to start using it, on the lowest setting of course. She already loves Elmo and laughs like a nut when she sees him. This is a really cute video of her first day in the walker.

Pool Time

I bought a pool for the back deck for the kids to play in this summer. There is only 1 pool near the house and it is always full of the neighborhood kids, so it doesn't work well for Xavier and Addison. So, instead they are all having a good time in the little pool out back. This was Addison's first time in the pool. We will post pictures of her later in her cute little bikini later. (We are still looking for a nice big pool somewhere else to swim at.)

The butterfly the kids caught.

Playing with water guns. Of course we had to go right out and get him one.

This is Xavier digging potatoes. They found 2 worms while digging and that really turned him off to getting down in the dirt.

Back at the beginning of June, I took my Mom to visit one of her friends from Colorado, Janna, while she was visiting her family in Ellijay, GA. They live in the mountain area of Georgia and have an organic farm. We had a wonderful time and ate some really yummy food. Xavier had the best time running around in the woods with Janna's little girl, Kaya, catching butterflies, digging up potatoes (although he said he didn't want to get his hands dirty, so he held the bucket.),picking sugar snap peas for dinner, eating fresh raspberries, and playing with his very first water gun. Needless to say he was very tired when got home.

Addison rolls over

Addison has been rolling over for a few weeks now, but we were finally able to catch it on video. Nick and Brittany were here when it happened and it was cool for them to witness one of her "firsts". We are all cheering her on in the video.

The Georgia Aquarium

On Memorial Day, we visited the Georgia Aquarium. It is the largest aquarium in the world. They have whale sharks and beluga whales, plus a whole bunch of cooler stuff. In 2 years, they will also have dolphins. We can't wait for that.

This is the 1.6 million gallon aquarium that houses the 4 whale sharks. It was awesome getting to see them eat. We all sat there for awhile just watching all the fish.

Addison just chillin in her stroller at the aquarium. (she has on 1 of her new outfits from Nick and Britt.)

Xavier took this picture with some help from Alexis. Not too bad. Although I think I look terrible.

Nick and Britt posing for me again. :)

The only orcas in the whole place. Xavier was a bit bummed about this.

Addie and her Daddy.

For some odd reason, Xavier thought this was a great place to pose for a picture. It is the only time all weekend that I cold get him to actually smile and look at the camera. He said it looked beautiful here and was perfect for a picture.

Uncle Nick and Aunt Brittany

Presents for Xavier, a really cool book for boys and Space Bags, your solution for all your space needs, as my son would say. (He loves these things as well as pancake puffs and the swivel sweeper.)
Addison got presents as well, some very nice outfits for when she decides to get bigger.

The adults out to dinner without any kids. It was so nice. :)

Our very good friends, Nick and Brittany, came down to Atlanta over Memorial Day weekend. Nick had a conference to attend at Mercer University and afterwards they stayed with us for a few days. It was so nice to see them and visit too. Xavier had a great time with his Uncle and Aunt and Addison loved meeting them for the first time. We have lots of photos from their trip, so be on the lookout for a slide show.
