The after shot of feeding his sister

This is what Addison looked like when Xavier was done feeding her.

Feeding his sister

The other night I was feeding Addison some yogurt and cereal. For some reason I had to go in the kitchen for something. When I returned, like a minute later, Xavier had decided to take over feeding his sister. It was just too cute. Especially because when she opens her mouth, he has his open too.

John's 30th Birthday

My wonderful hubby turned the big 30 yesterday. He's a little depressed about getting older, but he had a nice day off from work and enjoyed some time with the family. After cake, I took him out to dinner and to see Batman. It was just the two of us and we had a very nice time being just adults w/out kids for a few hours.

Tubby Video II

Tubby Video I

Xavier was introduced to water guns over the summer and loves to play with them in the tub. This time poor little Addie was the target and victim. (Although it was pretty funny)

Bath time fun

What family photo album is complete without tubby photos, especially group shots? Here are my little darlings in the tub together. I really like the one where Addie is letting Xavier have it. (earlier in the day he had covered her poor head and face with stickers.)

Addie'sFirst Date

Addison had a her first date last month. Friends of ours from church have a little boy, Kayden, who is 1 month older than Addison. They came over one night for dinner and some UFC. Addison and Kayden had a good time hanging out and even tried to trade pacifiers. Daddy, of course, was saying this was not a date and thought Addison needed to be wearing an outfit that covered her all up. Boy, he's in for trouble when she gets to be a teenager. :)

Addie being entertained

I bought John a foot massager for Father's Day. It works very nice on your feet, but most of all it entertains Addie. She just loves sitting in front of it and watching the lights and the little balls move around.

I haven't seen my friends, Juice, Katie, and Matthew in about 4 years b/c I lived so far away in Colorado. Now that I am closer, we decided to get together for a few days at Juice's Mom's place in Greeneville, TN. They live up in the mountains and it was so beautiful. We spent about 3 days just hanging out and catching up on life. Katie and Matthew have 2 kids, Claire and Sam. Claire is 18 months younger than Xavier and Sam is almost a year older than Addie. It was nice a time and I am glad I got to see them.

More random photos and an update

So, we decided to move into a bigger house. Yes, I know we already had a 5 bedroom house and why in the world would we need more space. Well, my mom and niece have come to live with us for the time being and we needed more space for them to have their own space. We found a nice 6 bedroom, 3 bath house that is 4 miles from my work and has currently been remodeled. I will post pictures once I get us completely moved in and set-up. We moved in last week while I was in Tennessee on vacation and John was here. Now John is in Wisconsin for conference and I am unpacking and setting things up before heading back to school tomorrow.

As for the kids, they are doing awesome. Xavier took the summer off from school and spent it at home with Grandma. I think it is good for kids to get a break every now and then. He is very ready to go back next week and show his teacher all the cool things he has learned over the summer. His reading has just taken off and he gets stronger every day. He has even started to spell and write words by sound recognition on his own. John and I are so incredibly proud of him.
Addison is also impressing us with all her new skills. She can say lots of new things. Her first word was hi and hey proceeded by mama. That's right I got mama before dada, but dada was not too far behind. She can also do baba for her bottle and will tell you baba when she wants one. She is working on bubby for Xavier and buh bye. She has been rocking on her knees for about 2 weeks and right before we left for TN she started doing the worm across the floor to get to things she wanted. The crawl is almost complete, but she seems to like doing the worm, so we will let her. She is also into grabbing things she shouldn't be, so we are all on the lookout for so types of things.

John and I are both doing well. He transfered back in April to a store that is closer to home, but the workload got bigger. He is doing well at church too and is trying to get the ball rolling on a new structure for us.
My work is the same really. I did go to a new classroom when I got back from maternity leave in March. I really like my assistant and am excited for the new school year to start next week. Although I do enjoy staying home with the kids, I also love teaching.

So, that's us in a nutshell. I will post lots by this weekend, so be on the lookout.

Some Random photos

Just some random photos of the kids while I wait for my CD to be processed that has all the pictures from our Tennessee vacation.
