As for the kids, they are doing awesome. Xavier took the summer off from school and spent it at home with Grandma. I think it is good for kids to get a break every now and then. He is very ready to go back next week and show his teacher all the cool things he has learned over the summer. His reading has just taken off and he gets stronger every day. He has even started to spell and write words by sound recognition on his own. John and I are so incredibly proud of him.
Addison is also impressing us with all her new skills. She can say lots of new things. Her first word was hi and hey proceeded by mama. That's right I got mama before dada, but dada was not too far behind. She can also do baba for her bottle and will tell you baba when she wants one. She is working on bubby for Xavier and buh bye. She has been rocking on her knees for about 2 weeks and right before we left for TN she started doing the worm across the floor to get to things she wanted. The crawl is almost complete, but she seems to like doing the worm, so we will let her. She is also into grabbing things she shouldn't be, so we are all on the lookout for so types of things.
John and I are both doing well. He transfered back in April to a store that is closer to home, but the workload got bigger. He is doing well at church too and is trying to get the ball rolling on a new structure for us.
My work is the same really. I did go to a new classroom when I got back from maternity leave in March. I really like my assistant and am excited for the new school year to start next week. Although I do enjoy staying home with the kids, I also love teaching.
So, that's us in a nutshell. I will post lots by this weekend, so be on the lookout.
