John's birthday, August 20th. He's 29!!!!!

Xavier said that Daddy needed to have a birthday party. John told him he would want a transformers party. Xavier wasn't thrilled with this idea and said he needed to have a pirate party or else he wasn't coming. We of course just laughed. But in reality, Xavier and I planned a little surprise party, yesterday. For presents, we got him some transformers. It was cute to see John share a favorite toy from his childhood with Xavier. Although Xavier was more interested in them being cars than the actual robots.

Our new school

I now work at a school in Smyrna, GA. Xavier is also going there. He is in Ms. Kenya's class. They have to wear blue or white shirts. He looks cute in his semi-uniform. He gets to bring a lunch now and he really likes shopping for lunch items.

Playground of Dreams

Some people from our new church told us where there was a cool park for kids. It just happens to be right down the road from our new house. It's called the playground of dreams and it really is way cool. We have only been once because the weather has been incredibly hot. As soon as it cools down a little we will go back to play.

Playing in his new playroom

So, on July 25th we finally got the keys to our new house. Unfortunately, it was not cleaned and some other things. Therefore we had to stay with some members of our new church for a few days. I don't have the house completely the way I want it, but I did get Xavier's playroom set up for the most part. He was so happy to finally have the train table put together.

Cathedral Caverns, Alabama July 24th

We went to the Cathedral Caverns in Alabama. They are on the east side of Huntsville. I love caving and use to do it when I was younger. I loved sharing this with Xavier. he had such a great time and had the tour guide and other guests cracking up laughing.

Nashville, TN July 23rd

We stopped in Nashville for a quick look around. I have always wanted to go there. My main desire was t see the Grand Ole Opry. I am a huge country fan. :)
We stopped off at the Opryland Hotel and looked around. It was awesome and I told John he needs to take me there when we go to Nashville on vacation. Afterwards, we headed over to the actual Opry house. The museum was closed, so we just looked around outside before getting some dinner and getting back on the road to Alabama

Louisville, Kentucky July 23rd

Showing me where Georgia is on the map

I took Xavier to the zoo in Louisville, KY on our third day across the country. They have a water park inside the zoo. We had such a great time. Xavier never wanted to leave the water park. It was a shame when we had to leave. This makes the fifth zoo he's been to. He loves zoos.

Abilene, Kansas July 21st

On our trek across the country, we stopped in Abilene, KS to see the Eisenhower homestead and library. Xavier pretty much just enjoyed the chance to get out of the car and run around.

The day we left Colorado, July 21st, 2007

What more can I say????? I cried when I crossed the state line.

Mommy's last night out with the girls!!!!

I had one last night with some of my good friends from Colorado. We had a great time at Red Robin and even closed the place down. I guess we just didn't want to say goodbye. I know I didn't. I even cried on my way back to the apartment. Love you guys!!!! I'll be back in the summer.

Xavier's last day at school in Colorado

Xavier brought ice cream sandwiches for snack on his last day. He was so happy and sad at the same time. His last day was July 19th. We have called Ms. Jeanne a few times, so he can say hi. He really misses all his classmates.

We're here!!!!!!!

Hi everyone. Sorry for the long overdue posting. We just got the internet up and running on Monday and I finally have a free moment to post. However, my hubby has not set up the main computer yet. We are using the laptop and I can't download any pictures. I have made him promise to get things set up by the end of the week. We will see how that goes.
Besides that, things are going well here. I started work last week and our first day of school was today. It went alright. I have a lot of work to do the next 6 weeks in getting the children where they need to be in regards to classroom behavior and academics. This year will definitely be a challenging one.
John started his new job at Sears yesterday and says its good. His commute is pretty long, but he's working on a better route. His first day at church went nicely and we had a good turn out.
Xavier, on the other hand, is not handling the transition very well. He loves the new house and all the space it has. He loves church and even loves Sabbath school with Ms. Bettie. But he misses Colorado, all his friends, and his old school. He likes the new school, but says it's not his school. We are confidant that he will adjust, it is just going to take him some time.
As for the baby, everything is going well. I go in about 3 weeks for the big ultrasound where we will find out the gender. I will post this as soon I as know. I am kinda starting to show. There is definitely a hard bumpish area in my mid section and I have started to feel the baby move some. John and I are currently arguing over names, as usual. It took us forever to agree on Xavier's. This one may take us up to the due date.
Check back later next week for pictures and details from our trip across the country.
